Violin Sizing

How to measure for the Violin

Lift the left arm and extend it fully to the side, parallel to the floor with the palm facing upward. Measure from the neck to the middle of the palm.

It’s better to play on an instrument that is a bit smaller than one that is bigger, especially for beginners. See our chart for the approximate sizing.

    Unbelievable instrument

The Lazzaro Zucchi Violin is my favorite violin to ever have. Whenever I play it, I feel proud. The instrument is very beautiful and the sound even better.
    The instrument
This has a superb tone and sound is very dynamic. I noticed that its tone is warm and full on the lower registers. It’s what I wanted. I’ve been playing the violin for quite a while, and this one exceeds my expectations.
The strings have the right length and its bridge was precisely cut, thin, and just perfect for this instrument. When it arrived, I thought I still needed it to be tuned. To my surprise, it’s already tuned, so there was less to worry about on my end.
    The setup
This premium violin was well set up and constructed. It has fine quality materials, exquisite design, and impressive finishing. I cannot say anything more but all thanks to the precise setup of this instrument. Even the pros could tell that this violin is made by a luthier.
    The instrument for advancing players
This violin offers an impressive, beautiful sound. It has a unique timbre and its aspects, including its corners are distressed to offer a unique experience. It also has the sturdiness that adds to the beautiful music that it produces.
    Variety of dynamics, achievable
The loudness in all dynamics is just right. Even if you want very loud, moderately loud, loud, or soft sound, you can achieve it with this instrument. It also results to an impressive phrasing and contrast.

This instrument is perfect for players that ready to upgrade or are advancing in their profession. It offers a warm tone and a beautiful sound that will make anyone pleased. It offers a consistent tone, and that’s also thanks to the tuning already done in the shop.
Out of the box, this violin offers an excellent projection and sounds well in the lower and upper registers. You don’t also need to have it tuned professionally because the people at Strad already done it.

    Five Stars!

I’d like to thank Antonio Strad for helping me find my perfect violin and put the touches on it that I wanted like obligato strings. This one arrived earlier than I expected. It’s also complete with all the components in place and did not need tuning.
    • Finish: This one has an Italian antique finish. It is high quality.
    • I had them put Obligato strings
    • Bridge: It is cut with the proper thickness, height, and spacing between the strings. It is not too heavy or too thick. Thus, this violin can produce a clear sound. Its feet fit the instrument perfectly.
    • The instrument: It is 100% handmade and made with love.
This is a high-quality instrument that is worth every penny. If you’re a serious player looking for a reliable instrument, you might also want to check it out. And for a smooth transaction, I’d recommend Antonio Strad.
