I nearly drove them crazy with questions but they have a responsive and supportive team that’s always ready to assist. I have called them several times to ask about this violin because I wanted to make sure that I was making a good decision.
As you may know, buying a new violin is quite an investment. I have read reviews about this instrument, but I wanted to check how it would play. The people at Antonio scheduled a video demo to show me how the Giovanni would play. I was impressed by its tone and sound – clear, warm, and full.
Bought the Giovanni Violin and it arrived in a perfect condition. It is better-looking and -sounding than my previous instruments. It exceeded my expectations. Not to mention, I think it is worth the price for being handcrafted and professionally set up.

Across the entire range, this violin offers a rich, warm, and balanced tone. It can also project perfectly. My son also tried playing this one. He surprised everyone, including his teacher. He’s able to play the notes that he’d normally miss.
This instrument is also versatile and produces sound filled with emotion and character. I replaced my old instrument because it needs work and isn’t worth putting money into. I think it was a smart move upgrading to this violin. This violin offers a focused and clear sound, allowing me to hear subtle tone deviation whenever I am not hitting the correct spot.
When it comes to responsiveness, this instrument resounds perfectly, allowing me to produce an excellent sound. I didn’t have a hard time at all, and in fact, I was able to add more emotion whenever I am playing. The dynamics are also perfect. It can be loud when I want it to be loud, and soft if I want it to be soft.

Materials and artisanship: The Giovanni Violin is excellently constructed and light but sturdy if that make any sense.
Setup: This violin came assembled and setup. The team also gave me a demo to show me how it would sound. They also showed me how it looked from every angle. Overall, this violin has a superb quality. The overall setup positively influenced the way it sounds. It produces very responsive and rich sound. The shoulder and chin rest add to the smooth playing. They do not make it uncomfortable but make playing feel so nature. They also allow me to maintain good posture while playing.
I love the overall sound of this violin and recommend Antonio Strad to anyone looking for a quality instrument that will give them a smooth playing experience.
