How It Works

Renting a stringed instrument through Antonio Strad Violin is a smart way to minimize out-of-pocket expenses. Our program allows you the flexibility to either return or upgrade your rental anytime. If your child remains committed to playing, our credit earning system empowers you to acquire a more advanced instrument as their skill-level increases. Up to 100% of your timely rental payment accumulates in your account. Parents who rent early accumulate the most credit over time and apply the most credit at the time of purchase, which you can do at anytime. This is why it is so important to rent from a highly reputable shop that offers flexibility, service, selection, and value. Currently, Antonio Strad Violin has the highest credit earning system in the market!

Knowing your child’s proper instrument size is very helpful as well. Your child’s teacher may have already sized him/her, but if not, you can click here and go to our How to Measure Your Child section for instructions to how to do just that.

Your instrument rental includes the instrument, bow, case, complimentary rosin for the bow, a folder, pencil, and name tag. Most schools will provide you with a supply list of additional items for you to consider, such as a book, music stand, shoulder rest, cleaning cloths, or tuners. For your convenience, we carry everything you need for your child’s string program—at the lowest prices, too!

Upon renting, you may choose to auto-debit your monthly rental payment via your checking account, credit card, or opt to send in your monthly payments. And as is standard in the industry, we will also ask you pay your last month’s payment, which will be placed as a credit in your account. Notify us at least 30 days in advance of your rental return and apply the credit then or apply towards the purchase of an upgraded instrument.

Rent in-store or online—the choice is yours!
