A good cello by Herbert Stengel, made in Osrabruch 1937. The two piece back of almost horizontal medium to narrow curl with matched rib and head, and beautiful spruce top. In evenly applied oil varnish of golden-brown color, the scroll is decoratively carved. The instrument gives rich, powerful and desirable sound. it projects far away. 774mm(30 and 7/16 in)
