Antonio Guadagnini: 1831-1881, son of Gaetano, worked at Turin and
Pesaro. Prolific maker. His instruments are always neatly done, well varnished,
generally rather reddish. Logical in all the various thickness of wood. Always
a flat model sturdily built on Stradivarian Lines. Age will pass its opinion
on the tone and put up the price accordingly. In 1927, tone was of fair responsiveness
and useful power.
